when i use my front windscreen washer, i get a small amount being released on the back window.

my guess would be some kind of valve problem.

if so, where is it? can it be cleaned/fixed?

if not, any clues?

Av got the same problem. But mine dont even come out the back window. Also when it doesn;t even squirt out of the jets, there seems to be a plastic connecter, and with a hole in but the hole isn't in the hose but it comes out that little hole.

Only good thing about it is if someone wants to look at ur engine u can soke them lol!

right, for starters, puntocarl, you'll need a new two way valve, its a y shaped thing that is stuck on the underside of the bonnet. the OE ones are crap, where they were injection moulded there was a weak spot in the plasic which fails and squirts water out of the hole isntead of the jets. most dealers should stock the new valves which are manufactured differently, they are only about a quid so nothing major to worry about.

svmurray, first place i would check is the little non return valve inside the wing, they get gummed up sometimes.

Still got a slight problem with my washers.

When I use the rear wind screen washer, a small amount of water also comes out of the front windscreen, with not quite enough power to even reach the windscreen.

When I use the front windscreen washer, everything seems to work OK.

I have replaced the Y shaped valve on the underside of the bonnet. The water was squirting out of the hole in the centre.

There is another valve down by the arch, similar to the Y shaped one, but this one only has one exit point. Is this simply a matter of replacing this valve? Or could it be another problem that I have?

never had a problem with the front washers, but in the winter, the pipe comes off the rear one, wetting the inside of the boot lid and carpet. nothing a tie-clip wont sort, its just on eof those jobs that doesnt really need doing.

Noticed my rear washer also has a small squirt on it when I operated the front washer.

i have now replaced both the y shaped valve and the one way valve by the arch near the washer water tank and still i get seepage from the back washer when i use the fron washer and vice versa.

i hear you say something about the pump.....how do i get to it? can they be repaired/cleaned?

any clues?
