Hello everyone! im a proud new Panda 1.2 60 hp (2007) owner [first car!] Im curious to find out if my car is a 8v or 16v? Is there a way to tell without looking inside the engine

IIRC tne 60HP is always 8V. 16V 1.2 is 69HP.

All of the Panda 1.2s are 8v, even the 1.3 Multijet is 8v, as far as I know the only 16v engine offered in the Panda was the 1.4 in the 100HP.

The 60bhp is safe if the cam belt fails. Fit new belt and drive away.

The later engines with variator etc are not safe if the cam belt fails. New belt wont fix the internal damage to the engine.

The diesel has a cam chain with a life of around 100,000 miles.

Aren't some 1.2 built with the super fire engine but they want be the 60 and not sure if they sold RHD.

Certainly is.

This is the 1.3 (12.48cc) multijet turbo diesel 16valve engine

My bad, irrelevant though since the OP has a 1.2
