Has anyone else with rear discs had the problem of the knocking coming from (I think) the calipers?. If so, what’s the fix? It’s driving me up the wall and getting worse.

Check the stub axle mounting nuts. If they come loose the axle flaps about.

If the caliper becomes too worn there is really only one solution. You could get a repair kit with new sliding pegs etc (about £15) but its likely the caliper is worn.

CHeck rear suspension bump stops. You woul never believe what a loose one sounds like. Replace with the stops off a mk1 Bravo / Brava. SHorter and softer and a far better fit. No ill affect on handling, allows a little more wheel travel and vastly improves the ride. The noise sounds like a loose axle, worn ball joint!
