Hi all,

I want to replace the PCV valve on my 1.2 Euro 4 EVO2 Panda, can someone confirm that the circled part in the photo is indeed the PCV valve?

Assuming this is the PCV valve then why am I not able to find a replacement part anywhere online? other car makes i.e toyota quickly turn up replacement PCV valves but extensive internet searching has failed to turn up anything close to a PCV valve for the panda.

I have a new breather hose ready to install but want to ideally replace the PCV valve simultaneously.

Is this just a part that is never replaced? Is anyone maybe able to give me a part number for it?

Thanks

That is indeed the engine breather hose and its connection to the inlet. The hoses do gradually stiffen, so replacement is a good idea, as they have a tendency to break the plastic stub on the air cleaner box, so take care with that.

The metal stub you've circled is just that, a stub. Should last the lifetime of the car.

I do not think there is a PCV valve on the car, so you might be searching for a long time.

The underlying question is WHY do you think you need to replace a PCV valve? Let's go back to the original problem and check your diagnosis. Or is this just a whim as you've heard tales of such things? Best not to try to 'mend' things unless they're actually broken.
