Hi I was just wondering if any members could point me in the right direction. I have a 56 plate Multijet Dynamic. It has an intermittant Central locking issue. It can go a couple of weeks without giving issues but then it can occur daily for several days at a time before not doing it again for a while. If I lock the car from inside by pressing in the drivers door handle, the central locking is clicking simultaneously on both rear doors sporadically (same sound as when you press the door lock button on the remote when the car is already locked. The rear doors do not unlock. It generally happens when the engine is one and the car is on the move. It is noticeably worse in cold weather. It has occurred only once or twice when switched off and using the remote to lock the car after I have got out but it is rare.

After I have locked it from inside, when I'm driving and it clicks, I can stop it if I manage to pull the handle back slightly without the system unlocking. I have removed the central locking fuse but can an still hear an intermittant faint click occurring under the dash board which I presume is coming from the body computer if I put the door handle into the lock position.

I have had it looked at 3 times by various people (an auto electrician, main dealer and the dealer I purchased the car from) but the car behaved itself perfectly each time!. The main dealer eliminated a wiring problem and said it was a faulty body computer despite the fault not manifesting itself. It is back with another auto electrician next Monday for further diagnostics (thankfully at no cost to myself). Is it likely to be a faulty body computer or could it be a faulty locking mechanism on the drivers door?. I have had the door panel off myself and the wiring still looks factory fresh. I WD40'd the drivers door lock mechanism but the fault continues. Sorry for the long winded post but any pointers would be greatly appreciated!.
