Hi All. I have a 2010 Panda and having recently had a baby i'm now finding the key based central locking really frustrating as the baby seat has to go in the opposite side of the car from me. Sometimes it involves leaving the baby seat round the other side whilst I go and unlock the car, which I don't really like doing, but if i'm parked with the drivers door on a busy road I can't take the seat round with me. I'm tearing my hair out. Anyway, I've read the threads on here and I see that whilst it might be difficult, it is theoretically possible to convert it to remote central locking either with a lock kit or by alarm. I have no interest in replacing my car so I think this is probably the only option, unless it would be possible to have a key lock installed on the passengers side (which would work just as well - does anyone know if this is possible?). I'm not remotely technical enough to do it myself and neither is my hubby, so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to who could do this for me. Would i need to go back to the dealer (ouch - my dealer is Fiat Marylebone and they are sooooooo expensive) or can anyone recommend a garage or alarm company in my area who might be able to help. Quite happy to spend whatever necessary within reason to get it done as whatever it costs, it would still be cheaper than a new car. I'm in South West London, in Streatham, so central london, SW or SE london would be great.
Also, does anyone know, is it possible to have by back seats changed to split rear seats retrospectively? I've got the third seatbelt if that makes any difference?
Thanks!
