2017 Panda Cross

Hi.
I have been toying with the idea of a City Cross. Today I went to Parks in East Kilbride and looked at a 67 plate City Cross in red with all the extras on offer. I was very impressed with the car and really like it. The downer for me was the trade in price of 3100 for my 2014 Lounge with 26,600 on the clock. I walked away. Now I have had issues with the dealer before and did a google review of only two stars. They were not long in contacting me and have now offered me 4000 for my car and 250 off the City Cross. It will be a cash sale and It looks as if I'll go for the deal.

Is it petrol or diesel? I have a 2018 city cross diesel with 14000 km. No problems so far.

Hi.
It's the 1.2 Fire engine. I wouldn't buy a diesel these days as most of my running is fairly short, DPF issues would be a worry for me. Also the way things are going now they are getting slated so much I've no idea what the government will come up with next.

Yeah, thought of all that, but i do an excess of 60 km a day commuting in out of city conditions. Saved me a ton of money on fuel. Fortunately here in Greece they don't seem keen on increasing tax on newer diesels anytime soon. Only pay 80 annually. I only need 60 a month on fuel. Insurance is 360 a year. How much did your dealer quote you?

Wish the diesels were 6speeds though the engine definitely can handle it.Attachment 199987Click image for larger version

Looks to be in good nick and with the Style pack. How many miles?
I have an 18 reg City Cross which I really love. 45 mpg, looks great and the 1200 engine is sweet as a nut.

Enjoy.

Re: 2017 Panda Cross

Yes it does look good indeed, I could only see one very small paint chip which will be sorted prior to collection. The mileage is a tad over 10,000 I think. It seems quieter than my 14 plate 1.2 but not anywhere near as quick. I'll be fitting new Denso Platinum plugs to it and my oil catch tank that I've removed from the old car.

The spec seems very good, it has leather on the doors, heated seats too so does that mean it has the winter pack? The options seem hard to decipher.

The car was a dealer Demo and the sales manager said it had all the possible extras?

Re: 2017 Panda Cross

Looks good Trevor. If has every option should have heated front screen, City Brake Control, DAB radio that sort of thing. Great value. Never seen a City Cross that cheap. If they were all priced at that for a 67 plate who knows may have had one. Like the raised driving position. Don't need the TA engine or 4x4 really. Just being able to cope with standing water.

Re: 2017 Panda Cross

Hi Al

Definitely got the DAB radio, Didn't notice the heated front screen, I take it the fine wires would have been noticeable? Being a demo it may have had some of its value written off to tax perhaps, certainly a good bargain.

Sounds like a good deal - I'm kind of half, kind of considering, kind of mulling over selling the 4x4 TA - great little car with 72k miles on the clock curently on its twelfth trip to Umbria - and getting a very recent (4x4) Cross; doing the diesel/petrol weghing up. Must be 4x4 for our Italian home. By the way, if you are this way in May, June, September, October, drop in.
Thanks murphyv310 thanked for this post

Re: 2017 Panda Cross

Hi.
Well I love this car, really enjoying it. OK maybe a little slower but I'm sure it'll get better. I doesn't have the DAB radio but I do use Medium Wave for Caroline and up north where there is no DAB and even FM is poor. The Bluetooth works bang on, its imported the phone book and calls work perfectly on the move, I can hear the caller and the caller hears me too. The climate control is excellent and on Lo it gives a really good blast of cold air. The ride is less jiggly than my old Lounge and I also prefer the seat material and the leather too. I think I got a steal with the price and spec. One very happy bunny.

The real reason for changing my lounge that I really liked was that after my darling wife passed in January every time I drove the car I felt so down and lost without her, I eventually drove another car on my own to see how I felt, I was beginning to think it was me and that driving was now not a good option, but I was fine, felt OK without the bad feelings. I have to say that the Cross is just fine, no bad feelings of emptiness and loss. So for me this is a good result. I've a few trips now planned.
