First Post.
Morning, I am about to sort out an oil leak on my daughters 2006 Panda 1.2 ,
There is an oil leak coming from the drive shaft to diff area and dropping onto the exhaust. My dealer has sent me the seal, Has anyone replaced one of these.
Any tips would be appreciated.

How can I move this to the correct section, needs to go into the Panda 2003-Present ??? (My first Post)

Yes it is the wrong section, but check Youtube, there are plenty of vids on how to replace.

You may get away without draining the gearbox of oil, but if it's been leaking it'll need topping up at the very least.

Remove the shaft from the wheel hub, support and release it from the gearbox (you might need to tap it out with a block of wood resting on the inner CV joint casing).

The seals usually pry out with a flat bladed screwdriver, though some people screw in a couple of self tappers to grip it.

Once out, clean the hole out well and lightly grease the outer edge of the seal.
Line the seal up with the hole, the right way around!
Then use a large socket that fits the outer body of the seal (and doesn't touch the middle/lip) and tap it home into the hole.

Carefully clean off the inner end of the shaft and lightly grease the splines, Spring clip and lip of the new seal.
Line up the splines in the gearbox then tap/shove the shaft back in (straight) so the spring clip seats in the gearbox.

You might have to pull it out and turn it a few times to line up so it'll go in, careful not to rip the lip of the seal.
