Uno Uno turbo mk2 rebuild

I was thinking that myself as well. I live in the Southern part of the country and although the weather is a lot better here it is still dark by 3:30pm, cold and constant rain. Makes working outside a nightmare.

Some pictures of the grubby looking engine that's started to be stripped down

Engine back from the rebuilders , all shiny and new . It's had new pistons & piston rings head skimmed , oil pump , full gasket kit , new timing belt kit , full core plug replacement and new head bolts fitted

the engine should be good for years now [emoji1303], hope you can fit it without scratching that mint paint job .

Hi yes the engine is spot on , I took it to an engine rebuilders in Aston Birmingham and they did a great job , the engine had been sitting for over 16 years and had rusted pretty badly on the top of the block so they had to re weld the and skim the block , hopefully it will last another 25+ years , also ime going to use waterless coolant so it won't rust ever again

Too much money , I have kept all the receipts and invoices but ime too scared to add it all up [emoji31]

Even more added , original turbo which was reconditioned ( at great cost ) the turbo guy said it's good for running 2 bar of boost with no problems

Some more added , turbo elbow sprayed in flame proof cast iron paint as was the turbo itself . Intermediate shaft fitted and some heat deflectors
