V.nice... i really like your spoiler! Defiently worth it in the end ay after all the cuffule uve had, luv it :)
Is it just me or does that spoiler remind you of those big sun shades they had/have on Australian cars :D

TINTS .... I was thinking of tinting it in the new year but it just dawned on me that it may be an idea to tint the sky window too, even if it's just a 30% tint it seems logical that it too should be done...

Anyone have any thoughts on this ?

Basically I'll go as close to the legal limit as I can Dave, i'm not exactly sure what that is but I'll make sure that when I go into the shop to get it done I'll ask them to make sure it's not gonna get me in the poo :)

I think the sky window is tinted a little more than the glass, it has a greener tint to the light that comes through if you get my drift.

So a legal tint all round? Thats what im thinking, not keen on having darker rear windows. (y)

Have you/anyone else any idea on the cost?
I was quoted about £170 a year ago, it was at a proper shop for ice and tints.

Are they actually quite hard wearing or do they need replacing every time a nail is caught on one ?

I dont have a clue what they're like in terms of durability. And what colour tint you can get - some look a bit purple from the inside which I dont like....so will have to ask around.

But £170 sounds good to me (y) I was thinking they were more like £250 - £300 for some reason!

i think the average price for tinting a hatchback is about £200ish. you won't have to worry about them peeling off or getting scratched as they are quite durable. i think that when you see a car that has tinted windows and they look purple it just means that they have done it themselves and used cheap tint film.

Thanks chaps (y)

One good thing about leaving the sky window would be the leather interior still showing up, also I was in the car today and it does have a darker tint to the glass on the roof, it's more of a green light.

i think that green is something like a 5% tint on the sky window and also front side windows iirc. not sure if you are aware tho but it is now illegal to apply any kind of film to the front side windows. the back three can be as dark as you want. not sure if you remember seeing mine but thats why i had limo black on the back and nothing on the front. Well, I decided to rebadge my car today, well kind of.

I was at the motorsport shop the other day, getting my service done and there were lots of people looking at the car. I figured, well they know it's a fiat because it had the badge on the front, but they all went round to the back to see what Fiat it was, so as long as I don't have a Stilo badge then the uneducated will never know exactly what it is.

Even though there's a badge on it now, it still looks smooth because the badge is nice and slim.
