I would have thought it would stop more the actual nozzles freezing up, the water would still be able to freeze onto your screen if it didn't contain enough anti-freeze or your windscreen wasn't warmed.

A usefull addition none the less:D

Lovely Sprint Blue Stilo - And no money to mod it!

heated washer bottle i would understand, but jets?

surely the water wont stay warm if it hits the cold window and then is skimmed by the wiper?

why do car makers put the screen wash bottle under the wing where its freezing cold? i used to have a car with the screen wash bottle on top of the header tank that was great but the jets still froze

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX, what do you want? cupholders? open door warning light? grow up!

Trouble is, hot water on a verycold windscreen is a recipe for disaster due to differences in temperatures and hence possibility of cracking windscreen! That's why I believe we don't use hot water to deice cars!

don't think hot think not cold, water a few degreese above freezing won't crack your window, I never use de-icer I get a jug of cold water fron the tap add a splash of hot just a little splash to take the chill out of the water, then pour it over windows it melts all the snow/ice and don't freeze over after, i've been doing this for years never had a cracked window yet.

Yeah, that will (should) be fine and a lot cheaper and probably better for your paint work (deicer being diluted paintstripper really).

In a colder climate than the UK's pitiful extremes it wouldn't be as good however because it woudl easily refreeze.

It's a lot better idea than the way I see some people driving to work:

Turn on windscreen wiper and hope soft rubber will eventually wipe off ice.

ROLL ON THE SUMMER!
