Hi guys,
Hi have a 1998 Fiat Ducato 2.8 non turbo minibus,
It’s only covered 82.000 miles from new,
It’s a cable clutch, unfortunately after standing for a month the clutch has started slipping, I’ve taken cable off oiled and And greased it, it moves easily, but it’s still slipping, any advice please,
Regards Colin

Yes.. could just be worn out..

But worth pursuing the adjustment of cable..
And doing a few miles.. if possible

Is it just slipping under larger loads?

Where is the bite point on pedal ??

Yes starts slipping going up hill, once once on the flat it’s better but slips after changing gear until it’s done about a mile any ideas guys?
If the clutch needs replacing where’s the best place get a new clutch,?
Regards Colin,

It sounds like a worn clutch though might be oil contaminated. Either way it's toast. Try to avoid using the vehicle.

For replacement clutch, go to a local garage with good local reputation. They will look after you because that's good business sense and happy customers bring in more business.
