im looking to buy a new fiat punto in the next 6 months i have up to £5000 to spend and buy looking on the net i should be able to get the newer shape punto or the last of the older shape a 2004 -2006 i have driven a new shape punto 07 plate on a courtesy 1.2 engine i thoguth it drank fuel really bad and was really sluggish compared to my current punto 2001 1.2 16v. i do love the newer shape but love the nippyness of the older smaller model. what do you all like better

i have a mk2 b active sport and in sport trim i think they all look good. you can pick up a 2b active sport or sporting for about 4k or a basic grande at 5. so i think you have some choice for that much. i lov my 2b i think the grande as a 1.2 will drink petrol badly so maby try a 1.4?dont know if you can pick 1 up for 5k though.

i only want to stick to a 1.2 engine really, i have decided to keep my 2001 punto until its next mot in feb next year and spend a bit more on a punto.

1.2 16v MK1 or a 1.4 16v 2b....best puntos evaaaaa enough power to be fun but not compromised by a heavy engine or dodgy reliability.
