As some of you may know, yesterday i was issued a parking ticket (quite rightly so tho i will admit)

BUT...on the ticket she put the colour of my car as blue its BLACK (although admittedly needs a good wash)

Someone told me that ANY discrepancy on the ticket like wrong info can be contested even if i'm in the wrong. Is this true? All the other info such as reg etc was right but for the colour

Any thoughts anyone?

yep you can and may contest it, and a magistrate will have the final decision on how to proceed.....

Thanx Jai, but based on just the colour being wrong and me being in the wrong (being parked just at the start of the bus section for 11 mins, would it be a load of hassle for little return?

you was bad just pay it imo

anythings worth a go, you never can tell, the mags may decide to apply absolute letter of law, etc etc, or may decide that since the reg is correct, and i presume you arent denying it was there, and its a simple honest mistake by the warden, that they will uphold the ticket, actual come to think of it, its not a mags, its a local parking ombudsman, their details should be either on the back of teh ticket, of in a notice it came with....

Oh i quite agree with you Dave but just wondered if what i had been told was true thats all

Its too much hassle for the sake of £30 just that since my mums in hospital and the Bravo has begun to start drinking fuel like George Best drank vodka, that £30 would have been better spent on fuel to the hospital. Just annoyed with myself tbh

The one and only time I got one I paid for on the last day possible, then did it via CC to get more interest free period. It was nearly 50 days from when the ticket got issued to the funds actually leaving my bank account.

It's the method I'd advise

LOL, i never noticed that car in the background. That was taken in a car park in wales last year

Its not a doblo, its a Citroen Berlingo in the background. Shes stood infront (well to the right of the pic) a vauxhall zafira.

there is also a vw polo, vauxhall astra mk3 and the white one os possibly a laguna (old shape)

£30 for a parking ticket? think yourself lucky, when i got a parking ticket, mine was double that for 2 minutes outside woolworths while we ran inside to pay for a trampoline. he didn't seem to care that it was raining heavily and the nearest carpark is a 10 minute walk

i only got a £30 one for when i crashed the marea, they booked me for 10 minutes of parking illegally, well in a fence i dunno if i'd call it parked, should of left the handbrake off

Thinking about it, mine was issued by the fuzz, so i'm assuming that's why it was £60 and not £30.

Still annoyed though, I sat in the fuzz car with him while he explained it to me... and the guy parked infront of me, got into his car and drove off. he was also parked illegally. i was not happy.

I racked up a fortune in fines in 2001-2002 parking in preston. im sure half of them were made up.

Doesnt help the wardens were little nazis. I never abused one but ask them a reasonable question (eg where do I pay it) and get a mouthful of abuse from them

the wardens in preston are buggers, my dad parked outside the magistrates court with a badge saying he was doing official business and they gave him a fecking ticket, there complete bastards they are lol
