im listing some items on ebay and want to put them on at a time when the most people are on the internet, (more last minute bids) what sort of time would you say is most busy sort of time?

prob between 12 and 2pm people looking when they're on lunch?

anytime after 5-6 as most people will be back from work then

as if they're on ebay, they will be on to look at stuff, not just browsing

i usually plan for an end time of 6.30/7 pm not to late incase people are going out.
mind you working for the P.O makes for some nice 3.30 am sniping action

Aim to finish on Sunday about the time songs of praise is on.
I've never failed to get in touch with people at that time of day!

I try to have my ones finish on a Friday or Saturday night around between 2000 and 2200.

The people who really need what you are selling would rather be late to the club night to get a bargain.

Furthermore lots of people stay indoors and browse the web anyway so you should get lots of high bids towards the end.

long as it don't end midweek or sunday night before work you'll get some dough

i remember a few years ago it was 8:00pm when the most logons happened but i'm not sure now, that was on dial up soo.... still a good time to list stuff i feel

If someone wants to buy your item, they will make sure that they either

1 - Bid their highest offer and say 'no more above £X'
2 - Arrange to be online at auction close

oh yes it does,

exactly the same car stereo ended at 4.15ish in the morning and sold for £60, one sold that same day but at 9.30 at night for £134

both listings where almost identical.

i have put them all on at 9.30 now.

I think you definitely need to time your listings accordingly - I wouldn't dream of ending an auction at 4am on a Wednesday night!

I also 100% snipe when I bid - doesn't always work, but I won't bid before the last minute.

i always bid last 15 seconds, and always add 5p to my max bid then if your winning it has 1 second left and you've won! (obviously it takes quite a long time to know when to bid, due to comp speeds and internet connection)

I would put it on after 6pm, most peopleare home from work, and also some internet providers offer deals where the internet is cheaper after 6pm i know wanadoo offer this package as we are on it at home

Obviously I didn't mean list it early in the morning...............anyway, how often are you up and on the PC at 4 or 5 in the morning? (Unless you're working, of course)
