did you have any problems with yours?

No problems at all other than the windscreen wipers juddering which apparently is a know problem on all Punto MkII's. It was fixed under warranty.

The speedgear gearbox was fantastic (much better than the Uno version), it was pretty quick and really smooth. To be honest we hardly ever used the manual selection option, other than going down steep hills to control speed. Fuel economy was about 38-40mpg in town and brake pads lasted about 20K+. The Fiat dealer (who was a friend) said they hadn't had any problems with the MkII auto boxes, but they did have a few with the Mk1 versions.

We had a 5 door ELX, but I had a Speedgear Sporting for a while as a courtesy car and it has a much nicer steering wheel, interior trim etc.

I still think the Speedgear is the best auto box in any small car I have driven.

be 3 cars i got 2 mercs

tis all mine now, an i knocked price down a little
drives realy nice, is quite nippy aswell, just need a few more cds now i only got 1, and its got a 5 cd changer

Although I was against Dave getting yet another car this punto is a really goodlooking car, now all Dave has to do is GET RID OF ALL THE OTHER CARS then I will be happy and have a garden again.
