Has anyone noticed the amount of new members taht have joined over the xmas and new year period?

is it like this every year and i have just missed it as i havent been here a year yet or is it a one off?

it has just baffled me as to why there are soo many new members lol

Suppose it depends on how many posts you are reading from newbies. I probably spend to much time reading them ones lol.

Statistically speaking, December was the same as normal, but January has seen a slight increase to make the average 65 a day

It's mad innit

Helped by the fact that unregistered users have big block adverts, which go when you sign in (theory being, if you don't register, then you can help out a bit - if you do register, than you're one of us - so it's ok

)

ben can you produce monthly KPI's showing number of new members and number of active members, and maybe number of unique visitors too, and why not average length of visit (thats always an intersting one). we could have line graphs going back several years, then the really fun part- we try to attribute any unusual periods to real world events. then we draw conclusions about the effect certain events have on forum users, and use that information in our future marketing.

That might be pretty cool actually

All the reports are already in VB, so it's just a case of getting them to display on a nice page somewhere.

As always, I'll go and see if someone has already done it first

I was the same with Counter-Strike lol. At one time I had 8 HEADSHOTS to every 10kills

saying that i joined a year ago... contributed for a little while (read: asked for help every time my car was playing up), disappeared and back again now.

maybe it just takes a while to you like you guys?!
