‘So Fast’ Odour and Bacteria Killer – by the Chemical Guys
So back to Google for more answers and more forums.
Some American forum had a few positive mentions about a profession product called ‘So Fast Odour and Bacteria Killer’, by a professions chemical company called The Chemical Guys; this seemed to actually eliminate the source of odour through chemicals and enzymes or something, and had a few people getting quite good results!
So I went through their UK online store and bought myself a bottle of the stuff and excitedly waited for postman pat to deliver. When I got the bottle it came with a spray nozzle and could either be diluted to use in general cleaning of the car cabin, or sprayed neat onto surfaces. I decided to spray all the seats and carpets again, along with some of the cabin surfaces, leaving a really nice (strong) green apple smell, and left the car again over night.
When I came back the next day I could smell the apple scent and little of the smoke by now. I gave the whole car another going over this time with the aircon on ‘re-circ’ to draw through some of the spray into the blowers, as well as helping this by a few direct sprays down them, something I had done with both fabreeze and the oust spray. When I cam back to the car it was smelling strongly of green apples and no smoke, but when this died down it did seem to actually neutralize the smoke smell with only the slightest remaining – possibly from areas I hadn’t yet treated?!
‘So Fast’ Odour And Bacteria Killer Rating: 8/9 – this actually made a big difference to the smell in the car, and left a nice fresh smell behind. Although there was a tiny smoke smell left that could be smelt every now and then.
Cost: £8 a bottle inc P&P
