How to rid your car of SMOKE smells!
Firstly I will bring you up to speed on the situation with my smelly car, and then run through the various methods I have tried and explain what has/ hasn’t worked along the way – each with an effectiveness rating of sorts, the usual 1-10 scale, with 1 being poor and 10 being excellent.
Since I have tried all of the tactics I will be describing, I can’t guarantee that one of these alone works, but hopefully the rating will help you choose your own method/s.
So I came to buy myself a second hand Bravo T-Jet Sport, lovely colour, well looked after from the outside, low miles etc etc…so what’s the catch? The car smells of smoke!
Here came the dilemma…I love the car, but can I stand that smell? After sharing my concerns with the dealer he explained that they car would receive a full valet, and would be treated with a ‘Bomb’ (fogger to some people) that would diffuse the smell over a 24hr period.
So after agreeing to see the car again once this work had been carried out, I came back to give it another once over.
