Hi guys, new to owning a Fiat, I have a grande punto active sport 2007 and am looking to get a new head unit with a sat nav built in. Any suggestions?

I have seen a few on Ebay etc that I like, is it easy to change the standard stereo to a different one?

Welcome fellow new fiat owner don't know too much all I can say is don't buy cheap Chinese my dad bought one everything still works accept the sat nav try and get a good branded one sorry I can't help you more

Thanks mate, I hate not having the ability to connect to my head unit via bluetooth, AUX or have the ability to put a usb/sd card in there. Plus i thought i could kill 2 birds with 1 stone and get one with sat nav

I bought a chinese one.. Erisin.. the antenna cable has snapped off (n)

That's what I was looking for when I bought a car lucky for me mine has the blue and me thing with usb for the iPod however I haven't worked out how to use it all yet hope you find something when you do be sure to post pictures and how too

Honestly, just go to halfords haha
It's very easy to remove the old one, just need a pair of generic radio keys, push them in and the unit pops straight out, waiting to be replaced, you will need a fascia though for a new head unit to be flush with the plastic surround

Search on here it's been covered a while ago but to my best memory you need a converter for ipods.... I have same blue and me system but really dislike the head unit can't seem to find one I like either only the.ones from China and I'm just not sure about them....

Great they seem to be more expensive for what I'm after as I believe the fold out screen probably costs more than a normal 6 or 7 inch one.... Standard one just looks so big, but obviously not big enough....

Yes I think iTunes can convert it into mp3 I don't understand the 2 different USB points in the glove box what's the difference

Right I've been getting stuck in looking about, but I am just not happy with what's available on the.market.... I can get a reasonable flip out 7" single din head unit even with android on how upon looking into the specs there Bearley on par my phone has quad core I get you probably don't need that but dual core would be nice and at least 2gig off ram otherwise it will so slow.... I hate this single din restriction, I wonder if a retro double din has been tried??? I will eventually have to give in to something but I'm not giving up yet.... Another question that's been on my mind :-S if you remove the standard head unit what happens to blue and me? I will off course convert steering controls with a connect 2 adapter....

You can use Blue&Me, however i scrapped it in favour of my Alpine having a Parrott bluetooth add on.
