Barbarian mentioned that their dealer had said that the red badges and a spare wheel will be included on all grande puntos including sporting from october.
As mine is due to be built end of sept I'll be annoyed if I just miss out on the new extras.
Think it was mentioned on another thread that one dealer had said the red badges would not be added to the grande any stage. I knid of think they will come in at somepoint
Has anybody else had any news/info about the badges been included?

Thanks
Ben

i asked my dealer about the red badges and if i would get them on my grande, his answer was that he was unsure but more than likely yes.

The salesman just happened to mention this during a general conversation after completing the order form.

I mentioned how rubbish the "goo" was and how daft it was that the FIAT badge on the GP didn't match the new Bravo and corporate image. He then said that, after loads of complaints, they were going to add the wheel across the range - especially since the Active and Dynamic gets a full sized spare as standard. He said the badge was changing too - although I'm not sure whether it's across the entire FIAT range (seems daft not to really).

Now, whether all of this is all true is a different matter. After all, this is a salesman we're talking about, and they'll sell sand to the Arabs if they could. Still, the way it just cropped up in the conversation without a sale depending on it makes me less likely to believe he's telling porkies.

my dealer also mentioned that they might start putting the red badges on when the factory re-opens after summer shut down (first two weeks in august)

Like you mention Barbarian its all hit and miss, some dealers are probably saying no because they want to sell the blue badged ones on the forecourt. I think if they are going add them it could be when they reopen the factory, mu order included the rubber side strips for free, seems that from sept these are going to be included but the dealer did say he could remove them.
we will just have to wait and see!
thanks

I didn't get a spare wheel with my 07 Dynamic (n)

I didn't get a spare wheel with my 07 Dynamic (n)

Just looked in the latest GP brochure with the T-Jet in in (07/2007) and the Standard Equipment and Options section has a Full size spare wheel as standard on the Active and Dynamic variants. The goo appears to be only for the Eleganza and Sporting. Perhaps this is a recent change - and may even answer my own question as to whether I'll get a full sized spare on my Sporting. Hopefully, common sense has prevailed!

Also, further to my other post, it lists the Rain sensor as an option on the Eleganza and Sporting. Like the puddle lights, I'm not sure why it's not an option across the whole range as there can't be anything different about the build. Has anyone successfully retrofitted puddle lights to theirs?

I'd also heard something about the side rubbing strips becoming standard too. If they are body coloured that would be OK, but black ones would really spoil the lines (and one of the main reasons why I opted for the car in the first place!). I hope I don't get those as I want to risk the wrath of Tesco car parks.

As for the red badges - the website has the GP (and others) with the new style badge whilst the new GP brochure doesn't (just the new FIAT logo on the front). Still, I guess it's cheaper to rework the website than having to reshoot all of the pictures for the broucher.

So fingers crossed...

i've got the new t-jet brochure and have noticed about the spare wheel myself, i hope i do get one, if not i'll take a trip to the scrapyard. not too fussed about the red badges as it won't make much difference on an orange GP, as much it would on a red GP. as for the side strips, if my GP turns up with them on i'll be asking the dealer to remove them as they were an option when i ordered and i didn't ask for them.

Hi, i have got a set of the red badges for my gp sporting from my dealer, cost me £35 and they came in a fancy presentation box, they look mint on it, ill try and add some pics.

Hell I have a 1.9 sporting with a spare , full fiat toolkit insert and red badges already

£25 for the steel and new goodyear tyre (scrappy), £8 for toolkit insert (ebay) and £35 for the badges (dealer).

£68 all in, not bad eh!(y)

Not bad at all, I'd rather have them included for free ;) . Photos of the badges would be great, shame about the steering wheel badge though. Think there was a toolkit insert on ebay last week. I didnt see how much it went for

As somebody who was left without his car for 48 hours due to a dented alloy and puncture courtesy of a pothole, I can confirm that cans of tyre **** are utterly useless...

I'd guessed the original lack of a spare on the GP Sporting and Eleganza was due to these models having wider 16 and 17" wheels, therefore the spare was too wide, but I suspect they now have a slight 'hump' in the floor to accommodate it.
