To go next to the main headings above (Forum, Photo Gallery etc) some icons which will fit in the header bar and look cool

Anyone any good at them?

 

Right we've been testing the How-To section for a little while now, and feel its pretty much ready for releasing...

HOWEVER - we don't want it relased blank, we need some articles in it first So anyone who has any how to's (preferably picture documented) PM me with more info on how to...

Gone through the old database and readded all the links in so its now not quite so sparse.. We were doing well before, getting a nice amount in, so please feel free to fill it up some more

Manufacturers links are useful also if anyone knows any...

NOTE: They do have to be relevant though, all photos are monitored, and using the FF to store all your holiday snaps isn't on - abuse of the gallery will result in your space reducing back to 3.5 MB

Well, while you lot were out happily enjoying the sun, i've been home working on the next part of the forum, and $130 later, we now have the gallery

You can now upload photos of your car / things (I say this carefully, photos ARE moderated) and create your own albums and such like to keep...

 

You asked for it, now its here... the arcade is installed

Check the link next to Calendar in the menu bar... will be adding more games as we go along, just a few to pass the time now

 

Going to put this up as a poll, basically, who would be interested in having a full bells and whistles photo gallery up on the site?

Each member can create galleries (sub galleries, sub sub etc.etc.) and upload photos of your car as and when you please, which would all be updated and stored...

 

Grab a smallish photo of yourselves (max 250 x 250 pixels) and tag it to your user profile (it will be uploaded to the server) - thus letting everyone see who they are talking too

(Profile pic is different from avatar, just in case you didn't know)

 

For anyone thats finding the new forum speed slow, please use the link below and paste the output to an answer to this thread (its the info between the horizontal lines that is needed).

If you find it quick, please don't post as it will just confuse things...

 

Might speed things up a bit for some of you guys, when you post / search etc... it will take you directly to the output, avoiding the the 'your search is in progress / thanks for posting screen'.

I quite liked it, but it seems a few seconds faster without it

 

As you may have noticed, there is now a user reputation field associated with each of you. It starts at 10, and goes up when people give you credit, you get another 1000 posts, or stay an extra year.

Welcome to the new Fiat Forum... as you may have noticed, everything looks a bit different, but believe me, this is not the only change.

We are now running vBulletin forum software rather than Snitz, which is an infinate improvement, search works for a start!

There's a bit of a learning curve...

 

At around 11pm GMT tonight (Sunday 1/8) the forum will be down whilst all data is transferred to the new forum.

It will hopefully be back up again by about 12:30am GMT.
