hi all again ive filled my tank with anti-freeze-coolant but my heaters are not working does anyone know where the fuse for the heating is or know whats up with it please???? thanks

i would suspect you have an air-lock in the cooling system preventing water circulating through the heater matrix.. from the other thread you said it doesn't have the bulkhead bleed screw - not sure how you would clear an air-lock without it, thats what that one is for - i'm sure someone will come along and advise shortly though.

I'm assuming the interior fan is blowing??

i've not had a 899 in so long i can't remember but i'm pretty sure all the fuses are in the drivers footwell in a 899 aren't they..? Does the drop down lid have a diagram of what all the fuses are on it or do you have to look them up in owners handbook??

I'm finding it so strange not having a cinq outside to go look at anymore :(

Great. It'll be the fuse with the fan icon in the box immediately below the steering column. Try that, check it doesn't immediately pop again.

If no joy, remove the carpet stuff on the passenger sude of the engine bay bulkhead, get at the connector nearest the fan motor, and check the supply to that out and then the fan motor itself.

Ive had a look at the fuse and tried another 1 still nothing :-((( ill check the connection now

I've got 2 for fans that bottom left 1 and 1 on the bottom right..

I think it might be the thermostat at under the bonnet is proper red hot even all the pipes where the coolant should be passing through :/

well, drain the cooling system - (as its fresh don't waste it, run it through a sieve and reuse it) whip out the thermostat and put it in a pan of water on the hob. bring the water to the boil and the thermostat should be fully open before the water is boiling.

If it doesn't get a new one and fill car up again, bleed again.

This would not stop the interior fan from going though so this is a separate issue.

Ah right thanks the only problem I've got now is to locate the thermostat ha!
