I replaced the fan on my partner's Cinquecento, and then some weeks later replaced the coolant. When I did the coolant I only found one bleed screw (by the expansion tank), I couldn't find the one on the bulkhead. I opened the screw all the way out and although it was damp, no water / air came out. I just replaced the coolant in the rad, ie I didn't eg remove the thermostat to allow all the old coolant out from the engine. The heater control was full on.
It ran fine for say 2-300 miles after the coolant change, but recently the fan didn't come on. After fiddling with the rad/fan switches it works now. I wonder though, could I have caused an intermittent fan not coming on problem by creating air in the system by not bleeding properly?
