Hello,
I own a fiat bravo 2009 1.6 multijet 88KW(120Hp) version.
For several months now my lights are flickering but not all the time!
Interior(but not dashboard!!!:confused:) and exterior inluding xenon headlights.
When it happens the voltage i see on my radio(Pioneer DEH-80PRS)that has a
voltmeter keeps going up and down from 12.0v to 15.1v instantly and changes
continously.:(:(

Any ideas what maybe causing the problem???
Thanks in advance!!!!!!

The alternator have electric brushes made from graphite and also electronic regulator to maintain constant output voltage whatever the rotational speed and load of alternator is.
Probably there is your problem

Today the car did not want to start...!
I have turned the ignition switch to on position.
Then waited for the glow plug procedure. When I attempted to start the engine
all electrical equipment such as dashboard radio bonnet windows etc stopped working ???
No power at all no cranking! Just dead!
After several attempts the car started and everything was working just fine again!
Battery is five months old(car audio battery).
Faulty fusebox or even worst body computer problem?
Sorry for my bad English!

P.S.
Alternator checked. No problem found!

This did happen to me all the electrics died when I tried to start the car. It was just the ground on the battery. I just loosen it and put it back and it all worked again.

My car - same model- did similar last week. Battery shows 13v mostly but is shot. New battery restored things straight away. I think 1 cell in the battery is bad so it appears charged but has no depth of power. Charge off the car seems to confirm this theory.

Good luck

To be honest I haven't thought about it!
You got a point!
Two heads are better than one! ???
I hope that you are right about this.
I will check it and I hope that all my problems will come to an end...
Thanks for the advice!

The proper voltage checking is from machine body to + terminal of battery.
With great consumer switched on, the voltage must be over 13,7 volts when engine is at idle and no more difference that 0.1 - 0.2 volts when measurment is done between plus and minus terminals of the battery

Problem solved!! ?????
Bad battery cell!
Replaced with a new one!
So far everything works fine.
Car audio battery just died after 15 months off normal use.
I believe that was the problem eventually.
Till next time ????
