Anyone got a "How to remove the centre console" in a Barchetta. I thought I had everything removed but something would not give.

So I thougt i'd ask if any one had a diagram showing how it comes apart.

Thanks.

removing console where is gear knob

  1. remove gear knob leather cover and ashtray
  2. unscrew 4 bolts where knob is, and there is one screw in ashtray.
  3. start lifting up that console where are switches for windows.
  4. unplug all connectors for lifting windows, fog lights and clock.

removing radio console

  1. you will have to remove radio, because there are some bolts behind radio cover (adapter if you don't have original radio)
  2. remove switches for cold-hot air, direction of blowing - just pull them out... behind middle one is another screw.
  3. there are also 2 screws in bottom of that console.
i believe that's more/less all.

btw: if you decided to remove whole dash board - don't. you will need drilling tool, molder, hammer, crowbar... here is some info: https://www.fiatforum.com/barchetta/162386-how-remove-whole-console-table.html

In that case you just undo the allen bolts under the steering column and carefully take off all that plastic above and below. Then undo the allen bolts that hold the instrument binnacle in.

Easy.

Yeap that was what I broke. I hate it when it's not staring you in the face. Like the centre console. I thought I had everything but it would not come off.

If you pull hard enough it brakes! Oh sorry that's something else.

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
