That's assuming you had some to begin with!! :p

Oi!

Also, they do not fit 100%, you will need to cut slightly smaller and stretch the boot over the large end of the joint (small end fits OK), it is possible but leave the glue a long time to set.

Good luck (y)

actually, you'ld be amazed on how long a plastic sandwich baggie and lots of coppergrease lasts

had this on my citroen, as the joint cannot be split and the whole arm/strut has to be replaced, hence the cheapo solution

Well, I hate having to admit when I am wrong but.........................

It appears that the Halfrauds universal CV boot's are not designed to last the distance. Dropped my keys under the car earlier and when I bent down to pick them up noticed a little splodge of grease on the gearbox, knelt down and low and behold the fecking Halfrauds universal CV boot has almost disinterested, I thought that I had better check the other side and surprise, surprise its also split!

Anyone got a couple of spare inner CV boots..................... :(

Ok that's it, the gloves are off.............. knuppel2.gif

was supposed to have had both mine changed less than a year ago... when I looked under the car a couple of months ago (locally found boots, not fiat origionals)1 was split again....

Anyway ordered 2 new fiat origional ones from greys garage and had them fitted but this time checked that they were done... along with proper clamps and not tye wraps.....!! seem to think they were only about £6 each, ( plus a couple of pound for clamps)

( sorry, cost about £20... wasn't worth getting my hands dirty... especially after reading docs view on changing them)
