Technical CV boot

Hi, I am trying to replace my os front inner cv boot. I cannot undo the allen key bolts at the gearbox end as they have been rounded off previously by someone. The 30mm nut is so tight I have broken a snap on breaker bar on it. My question is does the hub come off the shaft at the hub nut end I've read that there is a circlip holding it on but I cannot see it

Also search on line for cv shaft removal - there a loads of videos. Not done the job but think the method should transfer reasonably well to the B

I did mine with an easy fit split gator and it has been perfect ever since.

saves taking the whole thing apart
