I need to see if there is a way to disable the factory alarm to install my new system. I bought the first 500l lounge in my city of Seattle. I also purchased a push start proximity key alarm (Easycar E8-B) as most of the new cars have it and I really like this feature.
I talked to a local installer before I bought it and asked if they could install it and got a price quote of about $500. These are not sold locally so I had to purchase off the internet. When I got it I brought it in and they said they couldn't install it since it was a new car and alarms system to them? Thanks after the fact? Tried another place and they said they could brought it in, he spent a few hours trying in good faith then called and said he couldn't disable the alarm and couldn't Sauder the wires on the FOB as they were to small so couldn't do it until they came out with an override module.
Wondering if anyone know how to get around this if possible in new cars, especially the 500L. Thanks Jeremy
