It has been dry since a couple of days ago. Today, taking my daughter to work, I used the wipers to clear the dust off of both screens. Arriving back home I stepped out of the car and saw I was leaving wet footprints ! Anyone know where the tube runs in the drivers footwell please ?

It dosnt run anywhere near the drivers footwell in runs down the passenger side under the trim at the bottom of the door Frame

Driver's side being wet is likely to be something else

I'd start by checking the scuttle pannels areas at the bottom on the windscreen the drains here can block up and water can overflow into the car through the fresh air intake

I have had a look and by pouring a litre of h2o into the scuttle on the drivers end, it came out on the passengers side, about a foot down , through a slit and into the engine bay. I couldn’t see any signs of a scuttle on the drivers side ?

There should be two drains under the scuttle one on each side of the drain area
You can just about see them in the engine bay at the rear

Update. Charlie and I now know how to build a fiat 500 using a 13mm socket ! The scuttles are clear. I put a washing up bowl in the drivers footwell. Last night it tipped it down..no water in bowl. Whatever it is isn't coming in from above. Charlie suggested condense from aircon ? The 30mm plug I replaced was damp, but on removal no water.
Looks like the mats will have to be lifted !
