Can anyone tell me if start-stop is worth it? I'm trying to decide whether to buy a 2010 reg or a pre reg 09 without start-stop but don't know how beneficial / problematic it is!
thanks in advance

depends if you spend a lot of time in traffic jams
personally i think it's just something else to go wrong...

It seems if you hold the car at biting point for any length of time (perhaps if for one reason or another, you are expecting to be moving imminently), the engine management light comes on and the start stop is disabled. This fault then goes away after a couple of days of driving. I suspect this is just a quirk of my car, that I need the dealer to look at again, but it should give you an idea of how problematic it could be.
Just remember though there is an off switch for S unt Sdepends if you spend a lot of time in traffic jams

Of course but you've got no choice sadly.Did I read somewhere that it adds £400 to the cost of the car. I know you can turn it off , but I would not want to pay for something I'd find a pain in the arse.
...there was a very long thread about its issues, but this hasnt been posted in for weeks and weeks...
