A: Microsoft finalized Windows XP Service Pack 3 on April 21, 2008 and will release it publicly to the Web on April 29, 2008.

Windows Update (optional update): April 29
Microsoft Download Center: April 29
MSDN/TechNet download: May 2
Windows XP SP3 fulfillment media (CD-based): May 19
Volume license customers download: June 1
Windows Update/Automatic Updates: June 10

you can easily get it early with a little download
it doesnt add much and supposedly runs faster,but ive not really noticed

yeh i wouldn't bother. only difference i noticed was that windows would no longer detect my soundcard, let alone install drivers for it. straight back to sp2 for me lol

Can't see it on Manual updates, although I have RC still installed :chin:

Just updated mine from RC to full version - and I can see it with REMOVE option in Add/Remove Programs

I presume they didn't tick the updates button in add/remove programs
