I am about to book it all today, probably this afternoon - may phone them up, just to make sure they get the FIATFORUM party bit right ;)

(y)

The phone up bit may be good just to make sure they are doing what they said.

I can do, but i already know most of the hotels the area we need to stay. i dont think the twin room is a problem anymore. I'm staying in the same one as steve unless stu finds a better one :p

If he finds one cheaper for room and parking and in falling distance I would more than likely be changing:)

Steve how much was the parking at yours? All the other i've seen for around £55/£60 you've had to pay upto £10 parking for the night.

RIGHT - IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOLLOWS

I have now spoken to Box Office in length, and this is what you need to do to book Birmingham Jongleurs on the 10th December:

Either phone the box office on 08707 870707 OR a direct line to Yanique on 0208 3654113;

Give either/both of these references 78216332 / 78216659

There should be notes on file, saying additional people from FIAT FORUM are booking.

You need to pay in total £25 per person, plus a booking fee - 4 tickets cost £103 - this is taken immediately from your card.

FOOD DOES NOT NEED TO BE PREBOOKED - As long as you get there between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, there is a waitress allocated to your table - food and drink can then be ordered as appropiate - kitchen/bar closes at 8.30 pm for show, then more drinks can be ordered during interval, before the second part of show starts [presume this is why you order pitchers on the night :D]

Show finishes at 11am, and then all tables are cleared, for the evening nightclub, open til 2am.

To get in on the night, you need to give Steves name on the door - he was the first to book in the party - I won't give out his full name on here, leave that to PM (y)

ALL THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE ASAP - probably by next week at the latest. Once the place is fully booked, they will do table plan, and link all the bookings together, which is why you need the above reference numbers ;) - we can all sit together then.

As for hotels - I have booked into the Crowne Plaza, a 4 star hotel just round the corner - £78 for a room, with breakfast - TWO Queen size beds  - parking on the day for £11, so not bad :p

Yeah, Steves is £55!

I went for a bigger hotel because it is Jules' 30th :D, so want to celebrate in style...

End of the day, it is Christmas - going out is not cheap anymore, especially for a full nights entertainment/show in a large city, and stopover.

Would you prefer we all go to a Beefeater somewhere, in some second-rate town :p

theres a good beefeater in Lichfield actually ;)

i'm sorting accomadation with gaz later. So hopefully will be booked somewhere tonight.

Well, once in club, food seems cheap enough, and drinks are about £10 for a pitcher of 4 pints....

The night is how you make it, at least we are watching a show, which is something different AND not standing round in some club, squashed up, paying obscene prices

Check out that Crowne Plaza or Drurys - the slight extra is worth it, imo. Just make sure you pick the right Crowne hotel, not the one at the airport :spin:

re parking - not sure of the name of it, but there's an NCP (i think) by the canal - behind the tesco metro / sainsburys fast thing - thats about £5 for 24 hours. Secure + lit.

Also, cheaper (well free ;)) are the streets behind broad street - William Street and Holliday street (again, i think) - but def that general area...
