Technical wont start after battery change

Hi,

I have just fitted a new battery to my Barchetta.

When I turn the ignition to MAR to Code light flashes then goes off, to show the key code has been recognised, but as soon as I turn the key to AVV to start all power goes and nothing operates.

If I disconnect and reconnect the new battery all lights up again but then dies again as soon as I try to start the engine.

Any ideas as to what the problem is?

New battery could be faulty.
Battery leads could be faulty after flexing them to remove/replace battery.

Loose connection.

Do you have a voltage meter/multimeter if so put them on your battery while somebody tries to start it and see what the voyages are

Thanks guys , you were right, it was a loose connection, back on the road now.

A lovely day here in France, and had my first ride out of the year with the top down.
