Hi guys, have got a punto that has stood for 9 months, charged battery and starts fine, only the front and rear wipers are not working, washers work, so thats the fuses out as I believe they are all on one fuse.
Any ideas.
I'll have alook tomorrow, if I cant I'll ask a friend who might have a meter, it strange how they worked then stood for 8-9 months and dont work, I might even try the old magic wd40.
Mind your fingers in the linkage...seen it happen before
Switch ignition on & interior light, does the light dim ever so slightly when you switch wipers on,proves it's drawing current.Your looking for a ignition live at the motor,a switched live with wipers on & a earth of course
I have been offered a 4x4, so Im going to sell the Punto, its on an M plate with 36000, wipers need sorting obviously, but a very clean all round, was going to use as economical run around, but want this 4x4 now. Any offers or ideas to its value.
Nevermind, well I brought mine for £150 with new MOT/head gasket/tming belt & new rear bushes, advantage of being in the trade However dealers still sell these for £5-800 & yours is low mileage
Put a ad up here on the forum or put it on ebay, good luck with your new car...did you check the wipers
Thanks for your help, I did check them the rear motor gets hot it you turn on and leave for a minute and the light dims, meter also picked up current. The fronts Ive not found yet, assume I need to take the plastic cover off below windscreen to get access, as I cant see it under bonnet.
Just fitted new full exhuast.
