Technical Windshield washer failure, pump to be replaced ?

Hi, I get in my car and when trying to turn on the windshield washers nothing happens, the wipers work but so what. I have checked the fuse but that did nothing. Maybe someone on the forum knows how to check where the problem may lie ? Any suggestions and hints welcome

Connect a 12v 10watt bulb to the wires at the washer pump , ingnition on pull or push wiper stalk toward or way from you does the bulb light?
If bulb lights then the pump is broken
