Very pleased to hear your now mending. Its been a long haul. Take care!Is it just fiat forumer who over do it?
We all do. Besides being a fiat forumer, there's ChinaBike, Soviet Steeds, Polaris ATV, VeloSolex UK, P15-D24(Old MoPars), Camp Stoves, and bicycles. Not all at once, though.

Rubys squeaking sticky clutch fixed, at least temporarily. Yipee. I peeled back the slave dust rubber and squited WD40 silicon in the end of the cylinder. Also gave the cltch release arm pivot a large dose of 3 in one with teflon. Result the clutch action has gone back to silky smooth and totally silent. Trouble is I dont know which thing it was. Im suspecting it was the release arm pivot bush but cant be certain. Now Ill have to see if it stays quiet of fails ....

The downside is I dont trust it. I wanted to use Ruby for a funeral in a few days as it looks a lotless ASBO thanthe Panda Cross Toothless face. I am not sure why I find noop somewhat embarrasing but I do. A Panda trying to masquarade as an off style icon roader feels faintly silly spoiling its stong points of being much MORE capable than its looks rather than being a poseur! I suspect Noops battery is getting tires as I went to charge it a couple of days ago and it was just 12.2v after standing a few days. Charging restored 12.9 but maybe its a fisrt sign of getting old. The nlast thing I want is a breakdown on an important day. I shall have to take Ruby out on a few trips and give it a check before deciding which to use.

Today Father Ted made me smile, and laugh :)

I watched too much Red Dwarf in the 90s...

It's cold outside,
There's no kind of atmosphere,
I'm all alone,
More or less.
Let me fly,
Far away from here,
Fun, fun, fun,
In the sun, sun, sun.

I want to lie,
Shipwrecked and comatose,
Drinking fresh,
Mango juice;
Goldfish shoals,
Nibbling at my toes,
Fun, fun, fun,
In the sun, sun, sun,
Fun, fun, fun,
In the sun, sun, sun.

:)

That was the 80s for me when I had a little black and white Tv in my bedroom, I’d sneak out of bed and put it on when my parents where gone.

Red dwarf lost it about series 5, not watchable after that.
Monty Python has the odd but still funny, most is very dated.
And the best bit of father Ted for me was the song writing in the bedroom.

“Just play the £”/;ing note”

Loved my lovely horse and the divine comedy who actually wrote the song and the theme tune

Red dwarf was at its best when they lost red dwarf and were riding around in starbug

I see clips from time to time of monty python come up on things like YouTube and Instagram, it’s not been on any main stream channel for decades so I’ve pretty much forgotten most of it but when it does come up it still makes me chuckle despite being very dated by modern standards

I think Red Dwarf season 6 was good, then there was a 4 year break to season 7 and they lost one of the two co-creators, so it waned. I remember my favourite episode was "Back to reality". The general idea in that episode was that they'd been living in a computer game simulation all along and then we got to see the "real" them. Anyone remember Dwayne Dibley? :)

I think the Monty Python films are still OK.

Way back when I was working in Australia, the guy who was responsible for keeping me out of trouble told me that I wasn't at all what he expected from a Yank. Somewhat taken aback, asked what he meant. He said, "Well, first off, you know who our Prime Minister is(John Howard at that time)." To which I replied, "Why wouldn't I?" Then he said, "Two, you don't act as if the world revolves around the USA." And I said that I'd heard about that and also seen it. Lastly, he said, "I never in my life thought I'd hear a Yank quote Monty Python." And I broke into, "G'day, Bruce. G'day, Bruce. G'day, Bruce." :ROFLMAO:

No, the early stuff was far more douglas adams in style, later was just the same cliche jokes over and over.
Even the filming and sets were much more hhgttg, and Norman Lovett was a better holly.

Well, thanks to dubya and a lot of media at the time pointing out that most americans couldn't point "I-raq" on a map, then I'd say that view was understandable.
Touche'.
What is really embarrassing about that is so many of those people are proud of their lack of world knowledge. My next door neighbor, my youngest kids' FIL, my cousin, and my nephew fit in that category. We're working on my cousin and had some success. His lovely London born wife and a couple of their friends, shamed him into getting a passport, then they took him to Jamaica for 3 days. When they got back home, he asked when they could go again.

My neighbor and my kids' FIL admit that they are afraid to travel outside of the US. I tell them that Miami scares me. There's no hope for my nephew as he subscribes to Faux News.

On a different note. Take a gander at my first ever high end Italian bicycle frame.

I scored it at a bicycle swap meet yesterday for twenty bucks.
