I can see what Boris is trying to do, and I don't disagree that we've got to get the economy cranked up again, but I'm finding it very difficult to see how it can be effective until we get a vaccine or some other way of us all being able to rub along shoulder to shoulder once again.

There has never been a vaccine for any corona virus and life will never be 100% safe. So what are we to do? Believe the mainstream media scare mongers or get on with our lives?

The left (who never fail to capitalise on a good crisis) would have us all locked down and under their thumb for months. Like it or not, we are currently trashing the economy. It's the economy which pays people's wages and the taxes which pay for the NHS and everything else the government has taken unto itself means we have to get back to work. People before profit is a great sound bite but it hides the reality that nothing happens when nobody does anything.

Been pottering about today, played with my foamer washing my daily car. Helped the wife with housework,I mainly did the washing, now it's time for food & wine..:D I'm the cook in the house. Sav Blanc then perhaps fizz later, & even a Malbec. Aye what to do........Just answered the phone......Chinese it is, soninlaw has managed to get through to the take away which is hard to do up here....Braw :D

Wifes lockdown project is nearly done..

Obviously coincided with my week off, so shed repainted and roofed with tarpaulin (it's a crap shed was when we moved in 10 years ago in many ways I'm amazed it's still standing). Table and gate re-varnished.

Walls scraped back and painted, about half a tonne (seemingly) of soil that had magically appeared swept up and removed along with weeds and moss removed. Astro turf laid, sand pit built...this little bit will get an insight into how my wife works.

Can we get him a sand pit because we can't go to the beach? Yes (thinking it'll be a little plastic one). Massive wooden one arrives, for scale it has 135kg of sand in it...its half full.

Little un loves it though.. also water table out of shot.

what a know head, and they have the right to vote:bang:

Somewhat predictably it's an American.

Sure they'll drill some holes in the roof for a collapsed sun L.E.D. light bar, then post a thread about their stupid car having a leaky roof...then another one regards mysterious electrical faults. Then sell up because the car is a junk mazduhhhh and it's clearly the cars fault.

Yet if you suggest to a similar individual that he could change his oil less regularly than every 3k and it'll be fine...he'd look at you like you're simple. Cos I love changing fully synthetic oil every 2.5 months it really makes sense!

On the subject of geekery...

Son went to bed at a reasonable time last night and has had a over an hour nap today.

So not only did I get online for some Forza to unlock some 90s and 00s legends (the current season of unlockables is brilliant includes a 205 Rallye and the Sunny/Pulsar Gtir could have been made with me in mind).

That and cos he's well rested should be good to take him put on his trike this afternoon and play some football with him.
