Nothing. Im a miserable s** also has a scan for a developing gall bladder cyst. on Tuesday. zCCcnow off for MRI scan as large unexplained mass found near my 1 remaining kidney. I reckon its the large cyst they told me about 18 months ago. It probably ruptured when I took my fall a few weeks back. Hey ho. Everyone is panicking apart from me. Panda 4x4 going cheap......
I hope you had a miss spent youth to account for it then;)

I don’t know how true that is because I’m struggling with a Hotchkiss 6.4
I would struggle with hopscotch but my grand daughter manages well;)
Only found this now, but earlier saw 1500cc one mentioned.

Come on;) Coventry Climax, aka Hillman Imps big brother fire pump. I though they were 1100cc but some suggest 1500cc , it would have been fun in an Imp, what was the Imp 875cc?
Just goes to prove, senility is upon me. I knew many of these were Coventry Climax powered, from which the Imp engine, with which I'm so familiar, was derived. Somewhere I seem to think some used the Austin 7 engine? However my stupid old brain was orientating the engine wrong. I can't tell you why but I was thinking the inlet/exhaust was on the "wrong" side! I can't explain it but maybe I had forgotten that the gearbox was in front of the engine. But no, that would orientate the engine as shown in your picture of the pump and anyway I've very clear memories of sliding the Imp engines out on a wee wheeled platform - which is still in my garden shed today. I can't explain it and it's actually left me feeling angry and sad with myself - which is stupid. Maybe the dizzy cap was confusing me. the Imp ones were the more conventional Lucas type with the leads coming straight out the top.

I'm actually in a bit of an emotional mess just now. The last two days have been the auction of all my deceased brother's belongings, furniture and "everything". Much being stuff which has close family links for me, memories of Mum sitting in a certain chair or standing at the kitchen table. Friends and other people in the world of antiquities (he had his own auction business) turned up and there were lots of nice things being said about him and some of the women folk got very emotional. Don't think it had ever dawned on me how well he was regarded by many. It's all been quite stressful and with the pain in my hip now getting worse and starting to limit what I can do I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at times. Ah well, that's getting old for you!

Why should you have all the fun, my kids think I have been senile for years;)
Some of the clues on those engines, to me were the oil filler cap design and the cam chain end cover, mind you in all honesty I have seen them before in Government auctions so I had a head start:)
I know what you mean about the emotion side and listening to others happy thoughts about someone you were fond of.
Mind you and no relation to your brothers auction, but I recall at a garage auction in Exeter many years ago talking to an old boy regarding the items in the sale saying "I think the catering van is the only thing making a profit here today" to which the old boy said" I hope not , it is my sale!" It did turn out that he got a good price for the property as it was in the middle of the city suitable for flats.:)

He really got the last laugh then!

If your eye offends you, pluck it out.... Thats what the bible says Lol. Good luck doing that with half a leg and a lump of pelvis! Have another Whisky. After a few nothers you wont remember which bitscare faulty!

My dad has that exact sign hanging up 🤣🤣
I had one hanging in my shop but it was directed at management. Basically adding time to a job every time they made pests of themselves. The higher up the Uselessness ladder the manager was, the longer the delay was going to be. I also had a "Standard Answers Chart for FASQ" (Frequently Asked Stupid Questions) GM hated that one, but it stayed.

I hope it is a nice malt, not paint stripper;)
Quite spoilt for choice there:

several are nearly empty. Unfortunately now, after my big tummy op, I'm not supposed to partake. However a "wee one" just to remember my brother, would surely be permitted.

There's a half empty bottle of Glenturret somewhere too, but I just couldn't quickly lay my hands on it. Pity, it's one of the distilleries I've actually done their tour and sampled their "tray" of products at the end of the tour before, rather unsteadily weaving my way back onto the bus, - Wisely I didn't go in the car but went with a group of friends on a bus we chartered.

Now that is the sort of tour to go on.
Many years ago we went around a Charteuse distillery in the Spanish alps(?) at a monastery the stuff was like cough mixture and very high proof, I could only manage half a thimble full, the guide went around all the tables polishing it off, that takes dedication to your job to extremes:)
I would say the same stuff in this Country tasted nothing like it.

Is that what you would call a "proper bottle of Scotch":ROFLMAO:
Well I dont think they can really call it Scotch, but they do a range of Whiskys that really compare well with the best single malts. Trouble is they are low volume and to an extent you have to take whats on offer. Im not a great one for the smokey flavours which limits it. I need to go to another open day. Its getting pricey too £50 a bottle I imagine.. The last one was £43. Still Christmas is coming I shall send begging letter to my kids!!
