Nowt wrong with a deep fried mars bar and some pineapple fritters. Its just whats needed to tip an otherwise semi operative digestive system into chaos.
But still worth it, just.
I still like chinese pineapple fritters in syrup, but find their rice gives me indigestion and never liked the MSG in their food.

I agree theres too much additives infar too much these days. I found a local garm selling oak smoked bacon from norfolk pigs. Two things to say. 1. Baconcomes out ofthe panthe same size it went in! Flavour is a revalation.
2. Wife says its expensive but, because itsmoredense you dont eat as much. Cost overall seems pretty similar tome, and I know which I enjoy more.

What , no mushy peas? I thought it was all deep fried Mars bars North of the Border;)
Mushy peas? I always associate them with scampi and chips which I always have when visiting sister in law in Devon - That's at "Squires" in Braunton north Devon. https://www.squiresfishrestaurant.co.uk/ Been going there every spring holiday for as long as we can remember. A visit is strongly recommended if you're in the area.

Edit. Actually never tried a deep fried battered Mars bar. I know the chippy just down the hill from Pickardy Place used to sell them but I think it's not such a "thing" now?

Totally agree, I would sooner pay for quality than cr*p. Still trying to educate my children, but they just look at the price, same with frozen veg instead of real veg.
However they all come over to mine if I do a proper Sunday Roast, though they prefer chicken to beef though it is Dad/Grandad who ends up doing the washing up as they disappear out the door;)
A friend used to give me free range eggs from his farm, the colour and taste compared with supermarket rubbish is amazing.
Years ago we had 9 Khaki Campbell ducks and whether making cakes or fry ups they were great.

To be fair I spent a month living in Cardiff a few years back and literally every chip shop has signs up offering deep fried mars bars, pizzas and all manor of things that should not be deep fried so you don’t have to go too far north from where you are

Who here has, like me, spent rather too much on Prime day deals ?

I may have. Welder on the way to replace the one that blew up 10 years ago. This is one of those new digital things that does mig tig and arc as well as being able to spoil weld alloy…. We’ll see what it’s like when it arrives tomorrow.

I also order quite a few other bits for the Punto.

This however has to set a record for estimated delivery time.

Nice quick response time their, I think I will go else where for the shock absorbers I want

How does it do the alloy, mig or is it a AC and DC tig, I have had all sorts in the past but never mastered alloy and my DC tig works, but is messy down to me.
Many years ago I had a Migatronic 180 and being keen I asked my supplier to demo it welding alloy, complete with argon, teflon liner and alloy wire, even the salesman couldn't do a good job with it so accepted that a AC Tig was best, although I have seen a pro weld a complete structure /platform on a pleasure boat using a large Mig.

I bought some nylon bushings from Amazon yesterday. Not as fancy as a welder but they’ll be here today.;)

My Dad sent down his Clarke 130 MiG welder to me last week. It can handle some bigger stuff than my Lincoln 100 so that’s being relegated to flux core work. It’s a must if I have to weld outdoors on a windy day
I really liked TIG welding aluminum and stainless when I was going to welding classes. I have a nice TIG/Stick welder but haven’t had much call to use it.

So it will take both mig and tig torches, as well as ac and dc, then you can connect if you so desire a spool gun as well for what is essentially alloy mig welding.

What ever the case as long as it will mig weld steel I’m happy as that’s basically what I’ll probably only ever end up using it for

I had a very similar SIP mig welder I bought and used to weld some new sills into my 86 Range Rover classic, perfect for that sort of worn, but about 10 years ago I leant it to my brother when he was first starting his camper van business and he somehow managed to burn out the winding in the transformer that supplies power to the wire feed. With that broken it basically needed a whole new transformer which was more than buying a replacement welder, I just never got round to it.

As you can see my Miller Maxstar 200 DC Tig doesn't get much use these days, but at least it is drier than my poor old Fronius 247 Three phase 415 volt Mig sat in the garage.;)

Wife regularly says that on her way back from work she sees a Barn owl flying alongside the car.

Spotted something out the bedroom window.

Well hello there, now if only I could get her to stop driving in fields disturbing the wildlife.

At least you know Barn Owls not a euphamism. Lol

Thats a pretty good pic by the way! We have quite a few here. This week. Ive also spotted Kestrel which was quite large and heathy looking and a small Buzzard that was eating roadkill. They are a lot less commonly seen here in Norfolk.

See all sorts round here... I was waiting out front for my dad to pick me up other day.

Kestrel over the same field, we also have more red kites than you can throw a shoe at...

To be fair phone on max zoom isn't the easiest thing to photograph birds on.
