What's made you smile today?

Mrs.Cheest was all smiles with the grandsons last night. I've missed that. Oldest grandson handed me his gift to me. I said I bet it's a book mark. And a pen. It was a book mark and a pen. He wanted to know how I knew. I told him it was just a guess and it was. Daughter and SIL gifted me a bottle Bumbu Barbados Rum. Spiced, so better as a mixer. Unlike Meyer's spiced rum, the fumes don't make your eyes water.

Merry Christmas All.

Currently broken having been building toys since 6am.

My knees are not going to thank me tomorrow... little man was a very hard task master indeed. Every time I stopped can you do the next bag? Theres 14 bags...

Are being attacked by the shark ship and eaten...

If it lasts the week in one piece I will be ecstatic..

Squeezed in a Christmas Day ride on the Ural in the morning. It was warm enough,15.5C, that I didn't need the usual cold weather gear. The skies opened up about five miles from home. It rained hard enough to rinse off the grit from the gravel roads I'd ridden earlier in the day.

Other thing that may me smile is that I found out who was fcuking up the walking paths in the area with an atv. Actually, I found the atv that was fcuking up the trails parked in the weeds. If it had been dry, no harm, no foul. But it has been wet for the past month and this clown churned up the paths and turn them to mud.

Anyway, I spotted the atv and called the local constabulary. They ran the VIN and found it had been reported stolen in South Dakota. The locals couldn't do anything because the atv was located on forest preserve property, so their cops had to get involved. Long story short, I called the cops at 8:30 and by 11:00, the atv had been towed out and impounded. I did ask cops that if the owner can't be located or won't come to Illannoy to reclaim it, to let me know when it goes up for auction. It was a big ol' Polaris 800.

That's a wrap, folks.

Today is a half day at the corporate sh!tshow in South Carolina. That means that at 11:00 am CST, I am officially retired. Not that I've done a whole hell of a lot this month. I've already gotten to that point that I only know what day it is by which weekly comic strip is issued on that day. It's a good feeling.

Another Polar Bear motorcycle ride in the books. 43 miles in below freezing temps.

Gas stop in Hinckley, IL.

The underpowered, overweight mini tractor is averaging about 28 mpg since the rebuild.

Coffee stop in Big Rock, IL.

The weather chick lied. I was told bright sun and 2C. Another day of perma-cloud and -1C.

Some how I got a double post yesterday.

Anyway, we took the indoor decorations down and packed them away this morning. Busters' bed is back by the window so he can snooze in the sunlight, which he is doing. Funny thing, today is the first day we've seen the sun in two weeks.

Went for a walk by a river near the moors yesterday with two youngest daughters and grand daughter, plenty of mud so grand daughter was happy jumping in the puddles, daughters Cockerpoo was happy, other dog Chiranian(Chitzu/Pomeranian less happy due to being nearer to the mud, until let of lead where she did her usual trick of finding some sh*t to eat, before being returned to lead!:(

Great flood wet here at the moment as well, though new years day was nice...

My phone informs me that other than Friday with a small amount of rain it should be colder and dry with a little bit of cloud for the next 10 days... we'll see.
