And it’s Buster approved.

It’s so Buster approved that I had to bribe him with a ride and snacks to get his shedding butt out of the truck.

I‘m still planning pics with it next to the Wrangler and the Renegade but I am having a bad case of assus dragus today.

If Buster likes it it A OK!

Is this ULEZ compliant? 🤔
Looking around at current used car ads it seems everything since 1910 is being advertised as ULEZ compliant so I don’t see why not.

Probably better made than the induction pipes on some French cars at least the pipes are taped together and not just push fit

Wow, that’s an old post of mine! How I’d love to spend a day back in May 2017 with that Panda and a few other things..

ULEZ.. why do I feel like that will someday spread to the rest of the UK 😒

Seeing some very funny societal attempts to sabotage it including lorries and vans blocking in the vans… and some less civil ones of some type of foam spread on the windscreens / wipers making a real mess of them. How much of a signal must the public make.

I wonder if people would admit that Khan is worse than Boris was as London Mayor 👀 I was too young to be following the news in his time but I do remember seeing him brushing up the street and on bikes a lot. Bikes. Doing something for the environment I guess. Anyone seen Kahn on a bike? Didn’t he fly by private jet to some conference in the climate recently? Hypocrite. 😂😂😂

Decided I'd treat myself to early access on the latest Forza...it plays great and looks very nice indeed.

However what mainly made was a mate getting it as well. We have some history having raced buggies and karts, downhill bikes..and actual cars so it can get a bit competitive.

We both built a hot hatch each (he had a Mini JCW GP) to the same performance class, they were within 0.05 of a second per lap of each other so lots of fun pounding round trying to get one over on eachother.

As is traditional it ended with a virtual car shiny side down.

As we're mentioning Ulez here it's reminding me that I'm feeling increasingly guilty about the prospect of flying - flying anywhere. I felt guilty about contributing to emissions by flying on holiday this year and I'm feeling even more guilty about doing it again next year - Mrs J has already got us booked up. She loves her holidays whereas I would be quite happy to stay home and maybe have a nice day out at the seaside if a nice enough day comes along. I know I'll be on a looser trying to persuade her otherwise.

My contribution re Global warming is my expired dual passport with first wife on it from 1978;).
Since all the politicians and most of the scientists fly I wouldn't feel too guilty in that quarter.

Yes, they spout a lot of hot air don't they, but when it gets down to the nitty gritty there's very few who are demonstrating any real commitment. I've been reading Science Fiction since I was a teenager and J G Ballard's "The Drowned World" looks to me to be where we are rapidly heading.

Just had a quick look on the
BBC i player
Advertising a 4th series of
Crash Detectives.. Fascinating and Scary in equal measure

Being roads familiar to me brings it home a bit too 🤔
Will have to go watch that, I think it was the first series (which is the only one I’ve seen) where they had the first ever case of a car calling 999 when it detected a crash. But was a dead line when the car connected the call to the occupants as both had been killed. Again like you say scary but fascinating

Edit: this episode

Warning not for the faint hearted

Saw it advertised will have a look.

Those car phoning when you crash things...well let's hope they are better now than when my wife dealt with one on onstar (in a Corsa back when they were GM).

Not quite connected to 2 people who were far beyond help but if anything less than useless.

"Hi, this is Felicity in the OnStar call centre we've detected an accident" OK, where? "Gateshead", where in Gateshead it's 55 square miles? "I don't know" Ok, what's the reg number of the car we'll get police to keep a look out? "I've got the vin only" what kinda of car is it? "Corsa.." have you spoken to the occupants? "No" could you? No. I suspect the dead line was nowt to do with the condition of the occupants. Never found out who it was or where it happened...could be in a river to this day.

In the video above the car basically introduces it's self, states the order in which information will be given including longitude and latitude then connects the call to the occupants, all done by the car with no middle man.

I rembember onstar became a massive cost issue for GM because it ended up costing them a massive fortune to keep it going, but they had sold millions of cars with the system being a big part of the marketing.

I think our mini countryman has a similar crash detection and calling system. It also updates its own satnav so its connecting to services some how, so there must be a Simcard somewhere in the car.

It would appear that Ford piggy backs your phone, so if you've not got a phone paired and an app installed on your or your phone leaves the vehicle it doesn't work like that.

What's the betting VX was similar? They had no contact info, could only give Vin and car colour and location to the county.

Look up Ford eCall which does not require you to be paired to a phone, also has an emergency button same as our mini.

It was never fitted to a mk7 fiesta..

The only reason this car phoned for help was that it was lad with a smartphone who'd installed the app. If you've not it would do no such thing.
