Rover V8 is a 1961 Buick design bought by Rover. Fab in its day but kept alive way past its sell by date.

Found out today Nan's probate clears on Thursday, so on Wednesday, mum will go to bed poor and wake up rich. :slayer:

It wasn't interesting enough to be worth taking pictures of the engine in a box in the boot of a car lol.
small, lightweight lump. Weighs about the same i'm told as the cast iron 1.8 currently in my car. and is about the same length, so will remain completely behind the front wheels when installed. keeping the good weight distribution.
will probably do a complete strip and rebuild of the car before the V8 is put in, if at all.- Joined

Its still a 1961 Yank lump with pushrods and tiny ports. the Alfa V6 is a much better bet, but getting one with the 6 speed box will be less easy.
Some of these are awful

Fairly sure it was water, went all strange when I had a shower earlier in the day.
Managed to cook a very successful dinner.
Job interview tomorrow, not even worried or stressed. Going to love the drive there and back I really do hope I get this job or I'll be moving That I don't really want to do, but it'll be for the best.
