might aswell just pay the extra £20 and not use insurance

Some insurance companys are starting asking about claims including glass replacements.....
Mum had her windscreen replaced by insurance and it was a crap job not even in square and using a brand of glass i ve never seen before.
Fast forward to a stone chip about a month a go we got a local Indi automotive glass guy in who like above was about £20 more than insurance,
But he fitted a Pilkinton screen and pointed out the old (insurance fitted) windscreen was delaminating badly round the edges as it hadn't been sealed in right.....

I had a major repair done to the sill of a 2 years old car after in went down a hole.
Almost 2 years later I wanted to sell the car and found rust holes in the sill. Give them their due the insurance sorted it but apparently the corrosion was really bad to the point of dangerous. Thank goodness I refused to let them to take it back to the original repair shop.
More importantly, had the the original job been only slightly less bad, the car would have dropped to bits a year or two later. Insurance wouldnt have cared.

Are spending ages and ages, porting, polishing, skimming, lapping fitting new cams etc, the bloody valves hit the pistons.

my grump some Tw@t on the road
i was driving back from mrs jip0 on dark country roads only source of light is my head lights go round a blind bend and some pilliock is facing down the wrong side of the road with his full beams on just as you get round the bend :bang:
when i went passed noticed he had his hazards on like you can see them when your blinded by his lights :bang:

i re clear coated the bonnet after a light wet n dry the other day, it came out loads better
Online banking is unavailable so i cant check if i got paid at midnight
