Some tool has smashed the heated electric mirror off the car ££££££££'s :(

I've worked out that to repair all the niggles on the car will cost over £400 (n) and that's before anything I don't know about shows up at the MOT (which is now overdue)

It seems that once again due to the scum bags in my area I can't afford to keep my car on the road, so I'll probably have to sell it for spares / repairs and take yet another massive loss on a vehicle :bang::bang::bang:

in last month i have spend 500 quid on car and that's just running cost
head gasket, mot, cv joint, service.
things i want to get done before restarting year one
slammed bottom of door into floor, repaint bottom.
remove and repaint above door rust
check condition of suspension joints to chassis at front
remove (crease) dent to rear arch
check over exhaust and remove college attempt to fix it
i want to replace the rear tyres as well even tho they have tons on

Went to reverse out of my drive this morning, my mates car is parked agaisnt the kerb and is there alot, looked both ways, kept checking as i always do then wham, look in my mirror and see a green fiesta parked on my rear bumper so put my car back on the drive, only damage is that her car needs a new number plate and my bumper has been pushed in slightly, not cracked though. My mate was in his car ready to move and he didnt even see her so we left it at that, we are paying for the number plate and thats the end of it, not a good start to the day though.

Also coming down with something, achy, sore throught and ears hurt and had a boring long day at college.

Ahh thats what the comment is about on Facebook, I saw you leaving college, your exhaust sounded raspy as f**k :yum: :worship:
You were in a rush to get somewhere for sure :p

Ahh the same illness is getting around, I've had the same achyness and sore throat for the past 4 days.. It doesn't seem to be budging so don't expect it to dissapear anytime soon (n)

Yea i quite like it now, isnt getting any worse so ill leave it:eek:
What time?

Well the achyness might be linked to the Muse concert but i was fine the day after:confused:

Burst water main near Harrow on the Hill. The 20 min round trip to take my son to college took an hour and a half, I would say I was sitting in traffic but it was more like sitting in a rapidly moving river. Also realised that my tyres dont grip that well in severe wet and the back ones are NEW. Dropped him off then he sent me a text, 'There was a rattling noise coming from the car as you drove away - sounds well dodgy'. The exhaust is probably about to drop off as a result of the speed bumps from hell that have appeared everywhere.

AA trying to rip me off again atm i pay £8.83 a month for me n mrs dave breakdown and relay on any car we are in. renewal is £13.83 a month. if i ring up an moan they will match online price, but i checked it out through quidco and i can get it for same price i am paying now plus £42 cashback. so looks like i am cancelling this contract and starting a new one. with the cashback it works out less than half price

grandma had to have her door kicked in now we need to find an alternative to a chain so we dont have to kick it in next time she needs a hand

cant you have a chain, but the end tethered to the door is on a pin thats key locks/disengages from the outside?
i cant explain it well but im sure you get the idea?

My Grandad has a safe on the outside of his house that requires a 5 digit code to open it, inside is the key for his front door. This works well for his carers and us to pop in and check he's ok.

My gran had that as well, although I think most people have the chain so the door doesn't open all the way if they don't know whos at the door?

a touch fancy
but i like that idea and have a plan
on the first link im going to remove it and place a padlock in its place. allowing the chain to be removed when needed from outside.
i know a door on a chain is not as secure as can be but she feels comfortable with it
