What's made you grumpy today?

Council have closed the road that I normally park on - not a problem as there have been signs up all week about it being closed from today. So last night I moved my car round the corner onto a street that wasn't being closed.....

I came home from work to find they've moved my car (without the key) about 100 meters away! and closed the end of the street where I was parked! I've had a quick look over the car and the rear tyres show some sideways scuff marks! I am absolutely furious :mad::mad:

I want to find out how they moved it so sticking arround in the morning to see the site manager / foreman.

If they dragged it by rope or spec lift from the front I'll be after compensation for two new rear tyres new brake shoes and handbrake cable. If they used a spec lift from the rear I'll be demanding a full safety report on the front suspension and steering column and two new rear tyres! One of the front tyres is now looking rather flat (I checked them last weekend so I know they were at the right PSI) so I suspect they've used a spec lift from the front.

Am I over reacting or am I well within my rights to go nuts at them?????

Check the small print. I tried that last summer. The AA called me and said I couldn't have the deal online through quidco as I wasn't a new customer, so I cancelled and went with RAC with ample cashback from quidco!

i told them i was going through quidco when i phoned and cancelled the auto renewal. just done the quidco and tracker email says i only getting £21 cashback so sent a grumpy email as it should be £42. if they mess about and say i cant have it i will do it in mrs daves name.

lady on the phone tried to get me to auto renew by saying you get loyalty reward of 9 callouts instead of 7. that is still not a good deal because even if you are unlucky enough to need them more than 7 times its still cheaper to take out another new policy after 7 times.

Not at all. You're doing the right thing. If someone moved my car I'd want anything that could possibly be damaged replaced.

It would appear they've dealt with assholes like me before they have photos of the car being checked for damage before hand, then it was sling lifted moved and put back on the road again with more photos to proove nothing was damaged. They also noted that the handbrake wasn't fully engaged and whilst lowering the car (the rear was in contact a few inches before the front) it did move under it's own weight in a downhill direction (hence the slight tyre scratches). So I went out for an arguement and got an apology and full explanation. Oooooooppppsssss

:eek::eek:

forgot todays grump - not been sleeping properly for ages and am comming down with something, have a high temp and swallon glands my neck is killing me :( and in work :(

:eek::eek: 116.9p a litre at tescos for the full fat today, thought i'd treat the car with a slight twist of the distributor, but cheapest standard 95 is 111.9 :(

We're 112.9 for unleaded at the moment, Shell up the road are 111.9 and Asda are 111.9. Pretty lucky having 5 stations within 5 minutes of me lol.

No free parking spaces along a road at work where I usually park, so had to shove it in the paying car-park yet again. Another £5 gone for the privilledge.
Need a new job with free on-site parking... :(
