Two new tyres today. Asked them to check the tracking it was miles out and the track rods were rusted solid which is strange as I only had it done last year...Then I discovered the tyres they took off were the wrong size (Cue all the smart-alecs telling me I should have checked when I got them). My MoT is due next month too, boo.

As long as the size is roughly correct - check with an online calculator
Then you should be fine as long as its a matching axle
But idearly - i'd try to keep to manufactures setups

Admiral insurance...I get the legal minimum amount of notice for a car insurance renewal is 21 days. But refusing to give a quote until then is ridiculous. I've been with them a few years and they usually let me do it start of January, this year nope..

Having said that everyone else (including Admiral) will quote at 28 days on compare the market and it appears they are going to attempt to jump from 320 last year to around 630 for a lower level of cover (had to remove my OH as with her the premiums were eye watering) so this may be why they are keeping it close to their chest for as long as possible.

Never mind got a quote with esure for 410 lined up for the moment I can get proof of my NCD...which is a 90 quid increase but you know I did have the audacity to park my car in a hailstorm (and not actually claim) so I guess I had that coming.

Winter tyres eh..;)

you sure the frost didn't get to them:D

Heated seats always make me feel like I've..... myself... :(

Followed a damn gritter the whole way home - that'll have done my nicely polished wheels some good.

At least you know the road to yours has been done...last time we had snow didn't see a gritter for 24 hours.

Also trick with heated seats...turn them off once they are warm, don't just leave them toasting your arse ad infinitum. 30 seconds on 5 (Max) to take the edge off then down to a medium setting for about 2 minutes then off, at which point you should be getting a bit of warm air through the vents anyway.

Haha, yeah! I actually passed 6 gritters at least on the way home! Strange, it's only a short journey. I think it's only as we're technically a cut through route.

Honestly can't imagine why I didn't think of that. I just sat there in discomfort. Meriva has a heated steering wheel - that's some damn witchcraft.

You say that....but apparently they make you feel like you've soiled yourself which would seem like are sitting there in discomfort, unless you enjoy it :p

Jealous of dat heated wheel though..

The joke quote has arrived and is predictably hilarious..772 quid. No wonder they sent it to an online account and I didn't email me to say it was there it's almost as though they don't want me to see it until it comes out of my bank at which point the policy would have been in effect for a few weeks so they can hit me with cancellation charges.

The fact that new laptops do not come with Microsoft Office pre-installed! :( My previous laptop had full Office installed from new and never cost me anything ever...

I've just downloaded OpenOffice but it looks so outdated and basic so far

I know that feel.

It also used to be £100ish for three copies forever - it's now £100 for like, one edition.
