Ought to try changing headlamp bulbs on Stilo :bang:

Gutted about reversing into other Panda, I reversed Stilo into trailer this evening

we've all been there, Craig

i reversed my dad's car into a parked car when i was learning...then i reversed my first mini into a wall

i learned to look a little more carefully after that

hope you sort the scratch mate

lol. Same here I remember when I reversed 750L into a concrete fence post. Car stopped dead:p  and luckly only scuffed the bumper lightly.

Thats what I like about the Panda's, the bumper are there for just that, bumping and nudging, nudge something in Stilo and it takes paint off the bumpers and everythng :bang:

rubbed down original wheel trimes ready for primer. started to make another set of wiring up for the spots too. is it a 30A relay that gets used and do you have to use 30A fuse too?

Craig, use the formula P=IV, where P is power in watts of your lights, V is volts, and I is current

Rearrange the formula for the current, I=P/V, so if you have 55w lights it would be I=55/12 , I=4.58 amps, call it 6 amps. x 2 lamps = 12amps.

You'll need to go up to the next biggest size of fuse, so in this case 15 amps, (if you go smaller, you'll blown fuses all the time.)
There will be extra resistance in the wiring, but usually the rounding up of fuse size caters for this.

Hope this helps
Tom.

Just noticed the glaring error on my maths  - It's been a long week. 4.58 should round up to 5, then x2 = 10amps. Even so I'd still opt for a 15 amp fuse with the circuit resistance...

just read zulu's guide and he says 15A relay so i'll go 15A realy and fuse.

Craig, in all the Spotlight systems I've wired I've always over engineered the wiring systems and gone from 17amp wiring and 15amp fuse for each pair of 55watt hallogen lamps (y)

Jon.

EDIT: Forgot to say, Dad's Selecta has gone into the garage today to have the head Gasket changed. Should be able to collect it tomorrow evening or Sat morning depending upon when the head gets Skimmed.

Been swapping Pandas around giving each one 2 weeks driving....Sid was polished and put away...Bianca was due out next but after going down the road....smoke from the front brake caliper...stuck AGAIN!!!...:bang:...3 changes!!

So no more changing for 2hand ones...bite bullet and buy a new one..

P/Haze pressed back into action....Great car!!

Went in to garage today to get the exhaust looked at. yes it is blowing.. the gearbox mount is also broke and is making it bend hence the blow. new mount ordered so can go back in Monday to have it fitted aswell as have the exhaust re hung properly. when the bloke looked at it he said "kwik fit are ****e!" which we all know.

also bought some superbright bulbs to fit in her and a relay for the spot lamp wiring. got some paint to for the wheel trims. hope its dry tomorrow have lots to do!

Which wheel trims are you using Craig?

Bulbs fitted. probably need some adjusting though.

trims primed. painted one with the silver and its gone all hammerite ish. so theyre being left to dry before we do anymore.

tried to sort the heater/vents system. actaully made it worse. which is a bugger.

Going to see if i can fit the sterring wheel from the tempra. its quite big though so not to sure how it will work out. something to try after lunch.

Be careful with a bigger steering wheel as we made the fatal mistake ages ago and put a bigger one on and kept wacking my knees on it. Sounds likre you have been busy (y)
