As an radio operator I would like to add my cup to the CB-ers :) The best solution for antenna mounting is by magnet on roof. When you don't need it or in tight places you yust pull it of and you have clean roof (without obstacles). Be aware when you are mounting magnetic pad - put some thin carpet or something under it or you will scratch your panda.

Cable can be in fixed position all the way to the back and there just folded together with pad. Antenna can be easily "storaged" above your head. Make some kind of velcro holders attached to roof (from inside). Antenna can be hanged on them (one back, one front) and would be barrely noticed.

When buying CB check alternator power. Most stations work on 50W and you can easily run out of power.
Connect CB directly to battery with 10A fuse and use an IP56 or more connector between cable in cabin and cable in motorbay. If doing so there will be no problem changing cables or servicing engine/cabin.

For any info use google and anything like radioamateur transceiver mounting for mobile operation. By the way...the top of the top solution is to hide antenna in A pillar :) A friend of mine did this and comunication in range of 5km is just fine.

Discovered another blow in the exhaust so looks like a trip down the garage yet again. twice now in 2 months. Exhaust is fine and not old at all just where it joins it had a faint split in it. (dodgy part i think)

Never use Quick fit any more as they done Manda and caused loads of problems and when I did finally sort her and she was going fine the exhaust went the day we had a viewing on her. So "me being me " went back and kicked off in a packed waiting room. . . . They was very quick to to get manda up on the ramps as i was very quick to tell everyone in the waiting room that they may wanna put in for petrol allowance as the garage is run by cowboys and that I had been back 3 times before this. LOL

Exactly the sort of thing I normally kick off about :p

Hello all, long time no post, sorry!!

Bought some new plugs for Sparky so they're happily residing in the boot next to the socket set!! I should probably get them in as the old ones have done 15,000 miles plus and I don't fancy my chances this winter otherwise...

Hi Luke. Been a while. Plugs will be fine for 50,000 miles unless you have engine trouble. Not that the Panda will complain or anything.

The plugs in my merc have done 221,000 miles!!!

Yeah, but thats cos it takes about 10hours of labour to change them with all the bits of plastic etc they're under in a merc engine bay :p

Helped a lady top the screen was up in her big merc when at work the other week.

Pinged bonnet and thought feck me. More plastic on the engine than on my entire car :p

Well Goddamn I'm putting the plugs in my boot in my will........

Sam (baby panda wierdo) can deal with it when he has to... me and Sparky will keep on trucking as was... fu@kit!!!!

Cheers gents! Luke. (y)

(I'm gonna do the plugs and oil/air filter/bleed the brakes... what constitutes a classic car service???: 4 hail Marys and an our father... I don't know; Sparky seems happy if we raise our glasses once in a while to the absurdity of 5 1/5" rims on a panda!!!!!)

Sounds like Nam's going to be a hive of Panda activity at the weekend, I'm planning on doing similar to my 750L, may even bring out the waxoil too! :)

Key: Nam is local name for Chippenham. :D
