No not guilty if I had I would be drinking with Mr Dyson the (hover man) It must have been invented by a very bright person small means it snaps off and you go buy a new calliper or rear wheel cylinder. Ie more money in his masters account and less in ours:cry:

Removed gearbox from the Panda. Putting a 6 speed in tomorrow. It does seem the better option for this engine to keep it on the boil and I need the LSD for my Nuova Panda project. In my head, removing the gearbox is a 20 minute job. In reality it's a couple of hours no matter how you do it. Keep thinking I can get away without removing some parts and in the end everything comes off!

Ruddy cold, but I laughed in the face of the snow!

:thumb Got some snow ish :mad:25mm deep:yuck: I just need to prove the tyers ie the sixteen I brought back from Germany winter rated, or the off road type I bought off ebay and fitted to the 4x4 trekking.

I do hope we have no snow for next weekend i'll bring a spade just incase.

Failed to put the 6 speed box in. Took longer than I thought to transfer all my controls and levers and bits to make it work with my Frankenstein Panda. I therefore ran out of light and when I introduced artificial light I ran into a unique problem. I couldn't see where the box was mating with the engine due to my own breath fogging my vision. Even without breathing, steam from my body and hands was still annoying! Reminded me how physically demanding yanking engines and gearboxes around can be. Clearly too cold to be doing this job.

Yesterday I was cleaning out some mess from my garage, so I had to move "the Swede"! Was not started for about three months and it was -10C outside and has been like that for the last couple of weeks! But the little Panda started right away and idled as smooth as ever(y) I drove it outside for an half an hour while I was letting it run:) Before I got it inside again it started to snow as h.... Thats the only snow that car will experience this year, and it is now nicely tucked away in the garage again:) But it is just as cold in there as it is outside:( One thing I noticed is that the Panda has much better heather thanboth my petrol nuova 500 and my diesel nuova Bravo(y)It got nice and warm inside:cool:

Well I had some rather bad luck with the Panda I was without it for 6 weeks back in October! I think everything decided it didn't want to take it anymore all at once! would get the car back and something else would go! (so glad I joined the AA back in July after my timing belt snapped money well spent:p)

In this time it's had a new: Alternator, Distributor (electronic conversion), Coil, HT Leads, Spark Plugs, Timing belt/tension pully (again as it had slipped) & starter motor. It's like a new car inside now, runs and starts like a dream! Glad this happened before all the snow.

PLAY?

Going on Qing Qing when the weather gets bad, should have no problem on any surface I think. heehee!
